Their phrase "dusk to dawn" is redundant. That is the feature I wanted, however, it only works with the motion detector feature, which I didn't want. I wrongly assumed it was both and one could be turned on or off. I'll pass them on to someone who needs this type.We have several placed on the floor near the basement door, which is kept open. We no longer trip over the dark dog! It works great, but the battery life is disappointing. When batteries dim, so do the lights.Motion sensor is good on these and the light is bright enough. The sticky back things that hold it up don't work very well. Get some commando strips and you're good to go.I needed a light for my daughters to get to the bathroom at night. Unfortunately, there are no outlets in my upstairs hallway. I found these and they are PERFECT! The motion sensor works great so it doesn’t keep anyone up, the light shows down so that it’s not waking anyone up, and it comes with sticky tabs on the back that seem to be very tough (if you are nervous about your paint you may want to switch out with command strips, they can tear up the paint.)
