This is going to be a rather in-depth review, as there are plenty of other reviews with details, but for someone like myself, none had any pictures or rather a more expanded description or detail of the bed itself (features, size, items, etc).So first off, the price of this bed and the number of features it arrives with plus its construction, is an absolute bargain. The bare minimum you can spend on an adjustable bed (in Queen size at least) is $350 for a few of them on Amazon. And those only come with just head/foot up/down, that's it. No Flat option, no USB, no memory, nothing else! Just head/foot up/down! That's it!Going a few hundred more (~$400) and you can get a Flat option (where one button will automatically lower the head and foot to the flat zero degree position). Now, you don't realize how integral and essential a Flat button is, until you use it all the time with your bed. No Flat button means you have to press and hold the down buttons for the head/foot portions. Depending on the speed of the bed's motors, this can take some time to hold those buttons. You might get a few other options as well, like USB charging or memory position perhaps. Now you get up into about the $800+ range (and into about $1,000+) and you get Bluetooth apps, wireless remotes, massagers, memory functions, preset positions, underbody lighting and more.Or, you can go with this model for $550 and get all of those features, minus Bluetooth, and some more, as those much higher price models. When I was first checking this bed out, there weren't any pictures of it actually in use or from other users/buyers, just the few stock photos. So I had planned on taking a quite a bit of pictures to post in my review, as I knew others would want to see what it looks like in real life and more of the features of it. There are also some reviews which state some features are missing from what the description stated. I can say that the bed that I did receive did have every feature stated, but you'll be able to see all of that in the pictures as well. The Queen size adjustable bed arrives in one big box and was shipped via FedEx Ground, straight from Best Choice Products warehouse. It is an Amazon Prime shipping item with the expedited shipping guarantee (similar to other items shipped from/by Amazon warehouses). The bed did arrived one day earlier than the guaranteed date when purchased, and it took only two full days from evening of being shipped to arrival on the 3rd day after, late morning. So, it arrived quick and early (48hrs total shipping time).Of course, with FedEx being FedEx, the box was pretty beaten up, it had taken quite a few hits and punctures and I was expecting the worst (CCTV camera showed them just plopping it end over end, like it was some prehistoric square wheel...).The bed did take some damage to the pivot points in the middle of the bed, that let it fold over in half, to fit in the shipping box. I noted all pictures of the box and damage, reached out to Best Choice Products after it was all setup and done, and they rectified all of it. The damage did not alter how the bed function but the damage was visible and partly due to the fact that there is not much protection in the box, it is literally the bed, in a big plastic bag, placed in a thick cardboard box. It also weighs 140lbs. So add that in with FedEx and you get a nice chain of events.Set up is quick and easy, if you're strong enough. They recommend two people, but you might need three, depending on everyone's physique. I was able to do it on my own. You will need a pair of scissors or wire cutters (for the plastic zip/wire tires), gloves if you want, and a cross head/Philips screwdriver. The last item is not needed, but I verified all of the screws and fastenings, to ensure they were all tight, seeing as I will be sleeping on it. There are torque markings on all of the fastenings, in black magic marker, as well.Remove the bed, open it flat with the mattress side down, screw in the six metal legs into the threaded post holes. The leg posts, plus the power adapter and remote, are in cardboard boxes, zipped tied to the bed frame and/or motors. Use the scissors or wire cutters to free them up. Unclip wires from the foot motor and, depending on where you will be plugging it into, run the wire to the side and end of the bed to be plugged in. I took some extra small size zip/plastic wraps that I had and zip tied that power wire to the bottom of the bed frame to where I plugged it in. When you plug it in, you will hear the "brain" power up and some mechanical noises whir for a second. The power plug has a locking clasp on it, to ensure it doesn't come loose as well, which is good. Then flip the bed over with help if needed. The top, or mattress side, of the bed is covered in rubber bumps, which will help keep the mattress from moving or sliding off. The other good thing about this type of "tacky" surface, is that it also helps keep your sheets and any protectors held under the mattress, instead of sliding off or coming loose! You then take mattress bar and slide it into the white clips on the bottom/foot of the mattress. This keeps the mattress from sliding off the bottom, when it is raised or positioned. The top/mattress side of the bed is completely flat, as otheradjustable beds are, there are no lips or raised edges. For some, this helps give a minimalistic look, while others want more. You can fit this adjustable bed inside of another bed frame, if you want. But you can also use it as it and solely by itself with a mattress, which is what I did.Place your mattress on top and prepare for bed!The mattress does come with a wireless remote, which has three preset positions (four, if you count the flat position). "TV" has the most lift, raising the head and foot the most. "Lounge" only raises the head portion a little, maybe about ten degrees, if that! "ZG" (Zero Gravity) raises both the head and foot, but these are about 1/2 to 2/3 the raised height of the "TV" position. You also have two programmable buttons, that you can use to save and memorize up to two unique bed positions. The remote also has separate head and foot buttons, as well as two combined head and foot buttons. The bed also has two strips of LED lights pre-installed and wired. These look to be about a 3000K color, if that is important to you. I cannot be exact, but around that color warmth. Each LED strip contains six LEDs, for a total of 12 LEDs with this bed, six on each side. They are installed about 1/3 of the way under the bed, from the outside edges of the bed sides, near the middle. As others have mentioned, they help greatly when you have items stored under your bed, as I do, to help see what's what. They also help you during the night, but they are not motion activated. They are activated with the remote solely. They also turn off after appromiately 20-30 minutes, if you leave them on. They do not stay on, they do time out.The remote also has a flashlight feature, at the top end of the remote, in the same position as the IR emitter on TV remotes. You must press and hold the button for it to turn on. It's about 5000K in color, so a whiteish blue light. Nothing fancy, it does illuminate a wide path/beam, but also has some emitter shadow as well that casts a slight darkened ring within the casted light, but it gets the job done. There are also two massager motors installed, on in the head and one in the foot portions of the bed. They are in the middle line of the bed, about 1/4 in from the tops and bottoms of the bed. They seem to be a percussion type of massager, as they have air vents and when in use, pump out air in puffs from each movement. They each have three intensity levels and three modes as well (pulse; low to high; repeat/steady), and they each can be controlled independently of each other! They also have a time out function, which is about 30mins automatically, or you can set it to 10-20-30 mins. That means, you can't leave them going all night, unfortunately...You can set a timer for both the lights and the massagers with the remote. It can be 10mins, 20mins, or when both lights are illuminated on the remote at the same time, a 30mins timer.I didn't think I would use the massagers much, but, each night so far, they are on until they time out, in which they are restarted again, or until I fall asleep and don't notice they turned off. They are not spectacular massagers, but they really do help. And like the Flat button, you didn't know how much you needed or loved it until you had it.I also took pictures of the different heights and clearances of the bed as well. The lowest clearance under the bed, which are at the motor piston locations, is approxmiately 9". The general overall clearance under the bed is about 11", give or take 1" at certain spots. Bottom of the bed itself to the floor is 11 1/8" about. Floor to top of the bed itself (minus any mattress) is about 14 3/4". Floor to top of the mattress holder bracket is 21". The height of mattress holder bracket itself, from the bed to top, is about 6 7/16" high, in case you wanted to know with your own mattress height.I'm using an 8" latex mattress and it holds it place perfectly. It also weighs about 135lbs or so, the weight helps as well, but so does the tacky bed lining top and the bracket as well. I have had no issues with the sheets coming loose, as I did with my old, regular bed frame. The bed itself weighs about 120lbs by itself alone. It has been working fine so far. I also need to move the massager wires a little at times, in or out of the percussion box, as sometimes when it's on and in use, it's a little louded than usual. Moving the wire some resolves it for that time of useage. If they shut off and I use them again, I might have to readjust the wire again, to cease the extra noises. It seems the wires start to vibrate against the cut-outs of the shroud and cause the vibration noises. The motors that raise and lower the portions are actually really quiet. Only a slightly high whining noise in use. The loudest parts are the massagers, but on low, not really that noticeable. On high, you can hear them, but it's really not that bad. I have hard tile floor, so I bought some rubber furniture pads, to place under the feet. That way, it cuts down on the noise and vibrations that would travel along and down the metal frame and feet, to the hard floor. If you're outside of the bedroom, you can not hear the massagers or bed moving. So far, the bed has not moved whatsoever with either positioning or the massager use.The bed does have two side pockets, one on each side of the bed, a picture of which is included. One review said theirs didn't have it, maybe the bed was backwards? As they are sewn on the head portion of the head, on each side. There are two USB ports that are located in the head portion of the bed, but only on the left side of the bed (when you are standing up, looking down at the bed). They are illuminated a blue color in each one. Charging rate for these USB ports are 1300mA, when checked using Ampere. These are not fast charging USB ports, they looked to be about 1.2A-1.5A, but would say closer to 1.3A.One issue are some of the welds, they are a bit sloppy. You can see in one of the pictures, it really a sloppy weld, no clean up and pretty much just dropped down. Does it affect its sturdiness? Doesn't seem so yet, but that type of weld, you might have some air pockets in it, without grinding it down some to clean it up and check. But those welds were at the connecting posts, they did not seem to be part of the overall support structure of the bed frame. All in all, it's a really great bed. For someone who's wanted one with a bit of features and not just a bare bones one, this hits that sweet spot. If you're already going to be spending about $400 on an adjustable bed, why not go another $150 more and go deluxe? As they all say, you spend 1/3 of your life in bed, why go cheap? I know I did for years and finally said, Enough is Enough! Not only did I get the adjustable bed frame so that I could lounge like a queen, there is lighting under the bed if you want it as well as a flashlight in the remote. I use the charging ports for my phone every night and there is a nifty pocket for the remote and your phone. I took a chance thinking that I would get poor quality due to the fact that my parents bought a similar bed frame for much more money. I like this one better. I highly recommend it!I love this platform bed. Assembly was pretty easy, in that it comes almost completely assembled -- all you have to do it plug the power cord into the bottom and screw the legs in. It is very heavy, though, so I recruited a couple strong friends to help me with it. The mechanism work very well -- it is quiet and very smooth when adjusting the bed. I'm using my memory foam mattress with it, and it works great. It seems to be very well made, and I hope it will last for a long time. I compared an adjustable bed with these features to the local mattress store, and this one was about half price! This seems to be the best option out of every adjustable bed I reviewed here before purchasing.PROS:We already had two twin xls pushed together so a split king was the perfect choice. I have a hybrid mattress and had not had any trouble with movement. He has a foam one and it’s working just fine as well. This bed has two remotes, some of the others only had one.The pricing was on par with what we figured we would be spending.USB ports, lighting and pocket for remote are great extra features. If you do not see the ports on the outer sides of the bed, you have mixed up the left and right. The zero gravity button is perfect sleeping position. Once my feet come up just right, my hips and back just feel weightless and the pains I have been having are gone. I’m sleeping sooo much better. Waking up more refreshed and not stiff. (I’m 38, have had 3 kids, avid runner/enjoys the gym, this has been helpful with recovery!)CONS:The massage isn’t much more than some vibrations. In fact, that’s all it is. Not my kind of massage but maybe that makes you feel a certain type of way.We have had this for 2-3 weeks now and it has made a significant change in my sleep and how I’m feeling upon waking. Also, it’s super easy to put together. Don’t let all the cords and boxes frighten. You are going to open it and think not but it’s literally screwing legs in and two plugs. The most difficult part is flipping it over. Also, make sure you put the sides with the USB ports on the outside and not in the middle. You’ll know what I mean when you see it.TLDR; buy this bed, it’s helpful with sleep and pain relief. Easy to put together but heavy AF.This company is great to work with, my husband passed right after I bought the bed for him. Thay were understanding and going to cancel my order. I have decided to keep the bed since I bought it for my husband. Just love the bed, and the massage is wonderful, the remote works everything on the bed. very nice. Thank you.Best bed frame for the money. The massage function is worth much more than the cost. My wife loves it esp when in pain (or just wanting a good night's sleep). Only thing I'd change is stronger USB ports (3.0 fast charge or likes). we linked our USB ports for double power using a cable (so each side has 1 port instead of 2)Nice adjustable platform, remotes are easy to set up and very self explanatory. I’m using a purple mattress and both are amazing. Heads up, don’t try to set it up by yourself, you will need help!! Legs are easily bent if you try and do it alone. Quick tip if your putting it on a solid surface like a wood floor. Make sure you have padding under all the legs or you will get a loud vibration sound when using.Enjoy!!I love this bed! I wish the usb ports were on both sides. I had to purchase a 10’ phone charger cord in order for it to reach my side of the bed.
