This is the cat's meow!!! And, no, they don't use it.I had never used a bidet before and, like many, thought they were pretty gross. But, a friend had purchased one and liked it; and when I had ankle surgery last month, I wondered if it might be a worthwhile purchase since I was wondering who (not how) was going to keep me clean. I mean, I have friends, but who wants to ask a friend to wipe you after #2?So, surgery was four weeks ago today, and I couldn't be happier! I'm still non-weight bearing on my right leg which is a real pain, but ... I'm clean! In fact? My back side has never felt cleaner!I watched the videos of a number of different products and models before choosing this one and chose it for it's one piece stainless steel wand. It just seemed cleaner than the others.I don't need the warm seat or night light or even the drying fan for that matter, but the warm water is an absolute necessity here where our ground water is COLD! It's so cold that I don't even wash laundry in cold water! In winter, our running water is in the upper 40's; in summer, it may be near 60*.Ease of installation: I can't address that since I couldn't get the water hose on the toilet tank loose. A friend put it in my bathroom while the surgeon was cutting my ankle apart and reassembling the remaining pieces.Improvement: The only thing I can think of is if the cats would use it so I could eliminate the litter boxes. So, all that said? This puppy is a real keeper! If I didn't think it would gross out friends to use a communal bidet, I'd put one in my other bathroom. Since I can't use that bathroom right now, there's no reason for it to have one ... yet.Poorly made, metal to plastic attachments, plastic strips and it took me over 1 hour to install, I ended up needing a shower after the install b/c the hose kept falling off since it needed to be attached to a plastic base. Super disappointed ?My sister-in-law and friends bought the manual bidet so I've been wanting one for a long time but, honestly, bidet? Yes, we were also awkward and silly when it came to talking about this. So, I finally decided to buy one as we wanted to save money and water. After years of researching, reading, watching, and reviewing, I decided to buy this. My husband and boys gave in and now, they cannot live without it. Asking to buy another for the inside bathroom but we have a French toilet seat so this does not fit.So far, we noticed we don't need to buy toilet paper from Costco as often. Unfortunately, everyone now uses the front bidet bathroom so it does become a fight sometimes. Our guests came over and they LOVE the bidet. They enjoyed the heated seat and water and the comfort of the seat. My sister-in-law boyfriend is 7' tall and 250lbs and the seat has no problem holding him up.1. It had all the functions that I wanted: Heated seat/water, night light, water pressure control, front and back wash, child wash, and nozzle cleaning.2. Easy to install, just remove your existing seat, place tis on top, slide it in, connect water hose and plug in. Instant, no leaks, no trouble.3. Good price4. Makes me wipe the toilet down after every use so the toilet is super clean.Pros:-Easy to install-Comes with all the necessity to install. No need to purchase extras.-Cord is 18" so we used and extension to plug into our wall outlet.-Seat is sturdy and comfortable.-Heated seat level 1 was warm enough (has 3 levels)-Warm water level 1 was warm enough (has 3 levels)-Can clean nozzle whenever you want to-Remote is landscaped about 5" wide and 3" high easy to understand and use.-Comes with adjustable water pressure and spray distance control (but we don't use this)Cons:-Water does spray. We never had a bidet so my kid screamed. Finding out that she did not place her bottom to completely cover the seat. Water sprayed out but not strong enough to wet her back. Just surprised her.-I'm a clean freak so I do have to lift seat and wipe after use. It can be a hassle if you aren't cleaning after use but if you do not care, it isn't an issue.Overall, I LOVE this bidet and looking forward (crossing fingers) to many years of use. It has made cleaning your bottom and front EASY and it is so refreshing. If you are like us and hesitating because of awkwardness, cost, or... DON'T WAIT. Regardless of which model you buy, they are worth it. I wish I had purchased this during the run on toilet papers but I'm glad we don't have to fight over them if there is a shortage again.Pros: warm water on demand, great for clean up during menses and I imagine it would be great post intercourse. I also like having a remote I can hold in my hand rather than having to reach aroundCons: water pressure even at highest level not good enough to wash out after a bowel movement, the hot air for drying does move around the stench of the bowel move to (I’d recommend getting a deodorizer feature, the placement of the front most spray is not ideal for me and I usually have to adjust my position on the seat, still need tp after using the dryer featurePart are avelableLook! I have always wanted a bidet since I first saw the movie B.A.P.S. starring Halle Berry ok! But I mean the prices were ridic! SO a few years ago for my bday I treated my self to the cheaper model that just attaches to the toilet and just sprays cold water. This year I decided I was going to upgrade and begin searching and reading a bunch of reviews on the various models. I have to say the video of this one is really what sold me! Marketing is really everything! The real thing did /does not disappoint! Buy it! Your butt will thank you later! The heated seat and the warm water is life. Even my wife who was anti bidet uses and loves this thing! And you cannot beat the price point either. It performs just as well at the $600+ models at half the cost.I have nothing to compare to but some aspects of preference became clear fast. on the plus side, the unit is comfortable and does it's job as unintrusively as can be expected. There could be improvement in the jet alignment and even though the documents say it remembers the last settings, it doesn't seem to apply them. For the price, I'd recommend it.
