As anticipated, these are not very brignt -- but they helped to solve a lighting issue in a room that does not have adequate lighting or access to outlets (100+ year old house issues. I placed these in front of two mirrored sections of an antique sideboard and they give of a nice ambient glow. The overall design is nice, and fits well with my combination of mid century and traditional/older antique furniture and decor.My reason for less than five stars:1. One arrived chipped. It is well packaged, but all the same, I reached in to screw in the provided bulb, and my fingers met a shard of glass about 3/4" wide. The chip is on the inside and is not too noticeable due to design.2. I ordered two lamps in the light green shade. They do not match. They both appears to be "light green" but there is clearly a difference in the coloration of these. I am in desperate need of lighting for an event, so I will not be sending back for replacement, but I sure wish they matched better.Like it! My only complaint is that I cannot adjust the timer.I live in an older home with not enough outlets. I really enjoy the bit of light this puts off in an otherwise dark corner. I also like that it's a glass shade. Most aren't these days.My only drawback was getting the bulb to fit correctly - it kept losing connection. It took some doing but wqa worth the effort.These lamps were purchased due to inconveniently placed wall sockets. They fit perfectly and look good. That being said they are more like a large nightlight. We like them enough to keep them anyway. We have no idea yet how long the battery will last.Beautiful shade of green and great size! Can't wait to use it in my new home.Beautiful, but I wish it was brighter!I like the design and beautyI do like that it switched off every 6 hrs but the batteries don't last long.Good packaging for fragile (glass) goods. A little pricey but did include a bulb. Ideal for dark corners where candlelight would help.
