Specially it moves as it rotates. It is pretty quiet except when everybody is sleeping, then you can hear the motor. Very relaxing. It is not a big diffuser and so the water will not last the whole night but it turns off automatically.I love the look, lights, and purpose of this diffuser. However, I feel like it puts out a lot of mist at a time. It seems to run out of the same amount of water as my other diffusers at an extremely rapid rate.The design is beautiful. However, when you put the top back on you have to align it just right to get the spout out of the hole.It does make quite a bit of white noise, I personally like it, but if you don't want much noise this isn't the one for you.I have several different Essential Oil Diffusers, but what sets this one apart, is first I received the Mountains Design, and secondly, this Essential Oil Diffuser Rotates. None of my other ones do.Like most Essential Oil Diffusers, this one has 7 different color lights to choose from. You can set it to run from 1-3 hours, so the water capacity is smaller than most of my Essential Oil Diffusers, and the Rotation Feature, if you press it once it turns slower than if you press it a second time, but really, to me there isn't much of a difference in the speed of the rotation. Press it a 3rd time, and it turns the rotation feature off.It's not that loud when it's rotating, but I can still hear it, across the room. I will keep mine in my living room.One thing I don't like, is that the controls are small and hard for me to read. I had to bend all of the way down to read them, to make my choices.They suggest only to use natural essential oils in the Essential Oil Diffuser, and not to use perfume oils. I also suggest that you use bottled water if you have hard water. Using bottled water makes the Essential Oil Diffuser run better I think. The unit will automatically shut off if it runs out of water. While it's running, it does put out a fair amount of mist.The maximum fill line for the water is easy to read. They suggest using 2-3 drops of essential oil. I have lavender essential oil in mine.You will want to clean the unit when the mist out put is reduced, or about after about 5-6 times of use.This Essential Oil Diffuser would make a great gift, as a first essential oil diffuser, or for someone like me, who already has several different essential oil diffusers, but not one that rotates. It's fun to watch the different colors as it rotates.This is a really nice oil diffuser with a very nice aesthetic design. The main cover/cylinder is glass with mountain images (or Christmas trees, lol) and actually looks quite nice just with the light on - great nightlight. There are multiple colors you can choose from (or have it rotate thru the colors), or you can have the light off as well. The cylinder rotates and you can set it to rotate slow, faster, or no rotation at all. It has a small capacity and you can set it to run for 1, 2 or 3 hours. There is actually a 4th setting that does an intermittent mist which will actually run longer than 3 hours (roughly twice as long since it is 10 seconds on 10 seconds off). Regardless of the setting time you choose, if it runs out of water it will automatically turn off. Overall really nice functionally and attractive to have sitting around even just with the light on. I have two relatively minor complaints - one is that the control buttons are very small and it is difficult to see them. The second is that the inside piece that must be removed to pour water in is a slightly difficult to remove and you end up hitting thost buttons and turning it on/off while you are trying to remove it. The only solution is to unplug it while you do this because the base is so small it is actually difficult to avoid touching those control buttons. Other than that I really like this diffuser, and it is one of the more attractive ones I have seen. I hope this info is helpful to you…These are small and the parts don't fit together well. The cover is pretty but it is hard to remove and replace, which won't be a good thing once the reservoir is full. I won't return these as I can use them, but I would not give as a gift and I won't buy again.Very small for price, it is lovely when on but doesn't stay on long and have to keep refilling, also when rotating it makes a weird noise (sounds like distant music is all i can describe it as), wouldn't buy again solely on price if it was cheaper i would as it is lovely when on.It does its job very well and the colors are very pretty. There wasn't any remote control for me but the buttons work perfectly. I think it delivers what it's promised for such an affordable price.Leicht zu handhaben und erklärt sich von selbst.
