This was the perfect size for me. I got it to put on a Command Ledge in my bathroom which I have have next to my mirror. This helps me keep track of time when I’m getting ready in the morning. The backlight is more of a button that, when depressed, illuminates the clock face. The light isn’t something which would be on all night, just when you need to check the time. It appears to keep time the same as my phone and the minute hand moves smoothly around the clock. The hands do not emit any kind of noise. I won’t be using the ringer, but I did check it and me being a light sleeper, I’m positive it’d wake me. One reviewer says it goes through batteries quickly. As I won’t be using the backlight or alarm function, I don’t know that it’ll burn through them quickly. We’ll see how it holds up!
